Rabbit's Moon Blog Post

I was mentioned yesterday by the artist, Betsy Gordan, in her blog, Rabbit's Moon Studio.  Betsy, a former art teacher, continues to write and inspire through her blog.  She is a great encourager and continues to be a wonderful teacher.  As I've stated before, if you love art, you will enjoy her site and comments. You may see the article here.

Veteran's Day 2012

Yesterday was Veteran's Day in America: a day that we remember our Veteran's who sacrificed for us all.   My work above is a tribute to all the brave men and women who gave and continue to give to us all.  In times of need and threat we ask so much; it seems so often all the sacrifice is forgotten in times of plenty and peace.  We need to be reminded to remember and thank them all.

For my work above, I used the following public domain images: one, two, three, four and five.

Rabbit's Moon

This is my tribute to the folks at Rabbit's Moon Studio.  If you love art and especially art teachers you will probably find the website a treasure.  The composition above is from public domain, Fotolia and my own shot (with my Iphone) of an Asheville sunset.

I Exist as I am

I want to give credit  to William Warby the wonderful Dromaius novaehollandiae in my collage above; other images are from creative commons. The quote is from Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass.  I used Photoshop to put it all together.

Every person is both unique and beautiful.  Each life has a purpose independent of the wish and whims of others or society.
