The convergence of Dr. Martin Luther King's Day and the second inagaration of President Barack Obama is appropriate. The symbolism is rich in both American theology and myth. I celebrate this day for me, my familly, my goddaughter, my friends and my fellow Americans. As a nation, we, slowly, yet, surely, move toward a greater, more and more inclusive nation. I'm so proud and thankful to be an American today.
